Two-Volume set. Oblong hardcovers in printed cardboard slipcase. One volume is titled "Allen Ginsberg: 108 Images" and contains photographs with captions by Ginsberg as well as essays: "Allen Ginsberg: An Appreciation" by Hiro Yamagata (artist, car designed, and subject of 2nd volume in this set), "Municipal Gallery Revisited" by artist and Ginsberg friend Fracesco Clemente, and "Allen As Photographer" by Fernanda Pivano, Italian author, editor and television host who first brought the Beats to Italy back in the sixties. This first volume has a die-cut cover with a Ginsberg photograph caption in holograph reproduced on the covers. The second volume of this set is "Hiro Yamagata: Earthly Paradise" and features color photographs of rare automobiles hand-painted by Yamagata. Also included are essays: "Hiro Yamagata's Holy Ghost XX Century Automobiles" by Allen Ginsberg; "From Garden to Galaxy: Hiro Yamagata's Transcendental Motorcar" by Sam Hunter; and "The Winged Victories of Tokyo" by Achille Bonito Oliva. This second oblong hardcover also has a diecut cover. This set was designed and produced by Societa Editrice Umberto Allenadi & C. Turin - London For Fred Hoffman Fine Art. Both volumes plus slipcase are in mint to near mint condition. Each book has a separate supplement presenting the text of the volume in Italian. The Ginsberg supplement has a little nick on the edge of two pages (as issued by the printer).
