Sponsored by the University of Quebec, the event attracted many Kerouac scholars, fans and both French-speaking and English-speaking poets. This book is a result of the conference and features poems by Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Jack Micheline, Joy Walsh, John Montgomery and many French-speaking poets. If the poet read his work at the conference in French, then the text of the poem appears in French in the book - same for the English speaking poets.
